Our dyslexia screening and determination tests help pinpoint the specific challenges a learner faces. Because dyslexia comes in different forms and severities, an accurate assessment ensures the right support is in place. Before testing, we recommend addressing any other potential learning barriers, such as speech or occupational therapy needs, as well as functional vision assessments.
Our Process
The testing process is thorough yet simple. Each test takes about 40 minutes and is conducted in a distraction-free environment without a parent present.
We recommend scheduling the test earlier in the day when concentration levels are highest. If needed, we can provide a letter to the school for absence.
After testing, results are analysed by the Stark Griffin Dyslexia Academy, they are Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) approved. Feedback is usually provided within a week. During a follow-up consultation, we’ll walk you through the findings and discuss the next steps to ensure the best possible support.
