What to Expect?

Your eye exam will be as thorough as it is comfortable. Most appointments take around 50 minutes, so we can properly assess your vision and eye health.

A Quick Heads-Up

Arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for parking and paperwork.
If you wear glasses or contact lenses, bring your current prescription along.
Need a vision therapy or dyslexia assessment? We’ll provide a quote upfront.

Costs and Medical Aid

We’re contracted with most medical aids, including Discovery and Momentum. Since every medical aid works with different pricing structures, we’ll submit your invoice where possible, but the final payment responsibility is yours. Have questions? Just ask when you book!

No Medical Aid? No Problem!

We offer a budget-friendly package that includes select frames and lenses for those without medical aid or who need a more affordable option. Many employers also sponsor employees’ glasses this way. Call or pop in and ask us for the latest budget price list.

On the Day of Your Appointment

Finding parking in Stellenbosch can be tricky, so we recommend either Stelkor parking area or the Eikestad Mall undercover parking.
If you’re bringing an elderly parent or someone with limited mobility, you can drop them off at our front door before parking. Let us know in advance so we can assist.

Every one to two years, depending on your age, vision needs, and whether you wear glasses or contacts. Contact lens wearers should book an annual check-up.

Babies and children can have their eyes tested from a very young age. We work closely with ophthalmologists and paediatricians to provide the best care for little ones.

Absolutely! Our test room is wheelchair accessible, and we can assist with drop-offs at the front door. Just let us know in advance.

Absolutely! Our budget package is ideal for those without medical aid.

We take our time to get it right so expect 50 minutes to an hour.

No problem! You’re welcome to purchase a frame elsewhere and bring it to us so we can fit your lenses and guide you on any special requirements.
